Republicans in Pennsylvania are seeing a significant shift in mail-in ballot returns, with an 11-point swing in their favor compared to 2020, according to Cliff Maloney, leader of the Pennsylvania Chase initiative.
At a Glance:
- Republicans have seen a notable increase in mail-in ballot returns, with a swing of 90,000 more ballots compared to 2020.
- Democrats are down approximately 40,000 ballots, while Republicans have increased by 90,000, resulting in an 11-point swing for the GOP.
- Maloney’s Pennsylvania Chase initiative aims to secure GOP votes by targeting low-propensity voters and ensuring they return their mail-in ballots.
Cliff Maloney, leading the Pennsylvania Chase initiative, revealed that Republicans in Pennsylvania are making considerable gains in mail-in voting ahead of the upcoming presidential election. Speaking to Breitbart News on Saturday, Maloney explained that the GOP’s efforts to increase ballot returns have resulted in an 11-point swing in favor of Republicans, compared to the same time period in the 2020 election.
“The PA Chase is working,” Maloney said. “Republicans are up 90,000 mail-in ballots from 2020, while Democrats are down roughly 40,000. That’s an 11-point swing for Republicans, which could be a game changer in this close race.”

In 2020, President Joe Biden won Pennsylvania by a margin of 80,000 votes. Maloney highlighted that this swing toward Republicans could significantly impact the state’s outcome in the upcoming election. “We’re trending up 90,000 ballots, while Democrats are down 40,000 in a state that was decided by 80,000 votes last time. That’s why I’m confident, but we need to keep pushing.”
The Pennsylvania Chase initiative has taken a boots-on-the-ground approach, with 120 full-time staff hired to knock on doors and encourage low-propensity Republican voters to request and return mail-in ballots. According to Maloney, the goal is to knock on 500,000 doors across the state to ensure Republicans who are unlikely to vote in person get their mail-in ballots submitted.
In 2020, Trump’s campaign suffered after 141,000 Republicans requested mail-in ballots but never sent them back. Pennsylvania Chase aims to remedy this by focusing on turning out the vote through aggressive ballot chasing. “If we fix that problem, we win PA,” Maloney said. “We win PA, we win the entire White House.”
The success of the Pennsylvania Chase program is already being reflected in the data, with Republicans closing the gap in key battleground states. While Democrats currently lead in mail-in ballot requests overall, Maloney believes that the GOP’s targeted strategy could deliver a decisive victory for Trump in Pennsylvania. With only weeks left until Election Day, the stakes are high as both parties ramp up efforts to secure crucial swing states like Pennsylvania.
Maloney’s team continues to push forward, working tirelessly to ensure Republicans return their ballots. With door-knocking, gas cards, and training programs in full swing, the GOP is determined to capitalize on this momentum and carry it through to the finish line.
