Trump Taps Hardliner for Border Security

In a bold move to reinforce his commitment to stringent immigration policies, Donald Trump has appointed Tom Homan, former acting chief of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as the new ‘Border Czar.’

And he’s 10x better than Kamala was.

This appointment marks a significant shift in border security strategy, with Homan set to oversee both border protection and deportation efforts in the Trump administration.

Homan’s appointment doesn’t require Senate confirmation, allowing him to immediately advocate for and coordinate border security efforts within the White House. His role will encompass management of the Southern and Northern Borders, as well as maritime and aviation security, signaling a comprehensive approach to national border protection.

The illegals who arrived under the Biden administration are officially on their way out.

Massive Deportation Initiative Planned

Trump has pledged a significant deportation initiative targeting approximately 1.3 million illegal migrants. This plan includes individuals who have exhausted legal appeals, those convicted of serious crimes, and those apprehended with lawbreakers. The scale of this operation underscores the administration’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws and addressing the glaringly obvious national security problem that Biden ignored.

Homan’s track record at ICE and his vocal support for mass deportation make him a fitting choice for implementing Trump’s vision. During his speech at the Republican National Convention, Homan demonstrated his alignment with Trump’s immigration policies, stating unequivocally his intention to deport illegal aliens.

Controversial Past and Future Plans

Homan’s appointment is not without controversy. He was instrumental in implementing the family separation policy at the U.S. southern border, a measure that drew widespread criticism – though, that criticism only came from people who didn’t understand that criminals of all stripes are separated from their families when they commit crimes.

Despite retiring from ICE in 2018, Homan has remained a staunch supporter of Trump’s immigration policies and has been associated with The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, further cementing his credentials as a hardliner on immigration issues.

“As a guy who spent 34 years deporting illegal aliens, I got a message to the millions of illegal aliens that Joe Biden’s released in our country in violation of federal law: You better start packing now. You’re damn right. Cause you’re going home,” Homan recently said.

Trump’s plans for border security extend beyond Homan’s appointment. The administration intends to shut down the CBP One app, which currently manages border entry and asylum processes. Additionally, Trump has outlined plans to increase resources for border security, including hiring 10,000 new agents and raising salaries, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to reinforcing border control measures.

Homan’s appointment sends a clear message to both Mexican cartels and illegal immigrants. Trump has indicated plans to designate cartels as terrorist organizations, with Homan warning of severe actions under the new administration. For illegal immigrants, the message is equally clear: mass deportation is a core policy of the GOP’s platform for 2024, with Trump promising extensive removals.
