As the fall season of 2024 approaches ever nearer, the presidential election is just around the corner. As of now, it appears that the former president Donald Trump will be squaring off in a rematch with the incumbent president Joe Biden in an affair reminiscent of the 2020 contest. Trump locked up the nomination handily after he declined to join the other candidates on the debate stage during the primary contest. From Trumps perspective, the debates were a distraction and unnecessary as he maintained a 40-point lead or more over many challengers and cruised to victory.
Trump did this despite the reality of 4 criminal indictments against him. Two state prosecutors and a federal special counsel have commenced four investigations against the American business mogul from New York City. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump in correlation to a payment in 2016 to adult film star Stormy Daniels. In another case, Trump has been federally indicted in association with his handlings of classified documents at his Mar-A-Lago estate after he left the White House. The same federal office also level charges against him in association with the January 6th demonstrations, and claim Trump attempted to conspire against the government of the United States to overturn the election. In Georgia, he was also indicted by the Fulton County District attorney in association with the 2020 election there. In this case, prosecutors announced on in the fall of 2023 that they plan to use 150 witnesses, an astounding number. Trump continues to maintain his innocence.
In recent reports, many people in the New York City “hush money” case against Trump had to be turned down as jurors after admitting they could not be “fair” to Trump. It appears that there is serious pressure by many in mainstream America for individuals to conform to progressive or extremely-liberal ideologies. A recent article alleges young women face the most pressure to hide conservative views.
