An elderly Michigan homeowner, Hussein Murray, 72, was tragically murdered in his Rochester Hills home after two men posing as utility workers gained entry and tied up both him and his wife. The horrific incident unfolded on Friday when the suspects, dressed as Detroit Edison Energy Company (DTE) employees, convinced Murray to let them inside under the guise of checking for a gas leak. Once inside, they demanded money and jewelry, tying up both Murray and his wife, who survived the ordeal.

One suspect, Carlos Jose Hernandez, 37, was arrested in Louisiana on Saturday. Authorities are still searching for the second suspect, who remains unidentified. Murray’s death was ruled a homicide, with authorities yet to determine whether he was shot or bludgeoned due to the gruesome nature of his injuries.

A second suspect was then arrested on Monday.
