Famous celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have decided to sell their $61 million Beverly Hills, LA mansion for reasons due to size and preference, as revealed by sources close to the famous couple. The recent property listing continues to fuel recent rumors of Lopez and Affleck’s struggling marriage.

Both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were reportedly unhappy with their LA mansion that the pair bought for $61 million just last year. The couple discreetly listed the property for sale last week, as sources close to Lopez and Affleck reveal a few reasons why the two decided to sell their mansion. The insider revealed that Affleck, who is 51, never liked the location of the home due to it being far from his three children, whom Affleck co-parents with actress Jennifer Garner. On the other hand, the insider reported that Lopez’s distaste for the property is that it is just “too big” for the On The Floor singer.  Lopez is the mother of two children with singer Marc Anthony and feels that the 12-bedroom home is too spacious for the number of people living in it.

Lopez and Affleck bought the LA property in 2023 with cash after searching for their “dream home” since 2021, which was supposed to be the “fairytale” ending for the couple, who have shared an extensive on-and-off again relationship for a decade. The property, titled the Wallingford Estate, sits on a six-acre promontory, including an adjacent building that provides 10,000 square feet of living space. The home also includes a 15-car garage with an outdoor sports complex for basketball, pickleball, and boxing, as well as a large pool.

The celebrity couple’s home listing comes as rumors of their marriage failing continue to spread. TMZ reported that Affleck is continuing to live in his 100k per month rental home while Lopez is “already looking” for a new home. The couple is reportedly in therapy.
