Five Illegal Migrants Arrested for Murders Across Two Weeks in Houston

The issue of illegal migration continues to remain a serious problem in the United States. Over the last several years, since the presidential election of 2021, the problem has significantly worsened. It is estimated that over 5 and a half million migrants have entered the nation in just a short several year period. These statistics were promoted by the center for immigration analysis called FAIR. Since entering the oval office, president Joe Biden reversed many of the 45th president Donald Trump’s immigration policies. Trump had instituted a “remain in Mexico” policy that had prevented illegal migrants from entering the country. Biden has since ended this policy and the results of this decision have been catastrophic.

The New York Post recently posted that the illegal migrant backlog would surpass eight million individuals by the fall of 2024, around the time of the upcoming general presidential election. This affair is projected to be a very tough battle between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Most polls have forecasted a narrow margin separating the two candidates. Biden has allegedly carried a very low approval rating in recent days, with a report by Newsmax alleging that his rating has hovered below 40%, standing at 37%. Trump is also wildly unpopular, though, and he remains quite vulnerable as a candidate and recently even became the first president to ever be charged with a felony. A recent article by The Hill reports that Trump enjoys a 2-point lead nationally.

The issue of illegal migration and the border remains a central focus of the election. Many people across America believe that Trump would be the stronger candidate on the border, and Trump and other Republicans have made the case that the nation is not safe under Biden and his policies. A recent report that stated five illegal migrants were arrested in a two week period in Houston (all were wanted for murder) gives validity to these common claims.
