Secret Recording Shows Ex-Trump Aide’s Plan If GOP Loses Elections

Former Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone was secretly recorded explaining how Republicans should respond if Mr. Trump is unsuccessful in November. The recording was made in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate by undercover journalists posing as Trump supporters. One reporter asked Mr. Stone for his opinion on the election and led the conversation, saying, “Biden can’t win again.” Mr. Stone replied that while the President may not win, “it could be stolen again.”

When asked how Republicans could prevent that, Stone replied, “We’re working on it. Lawyers, judges, technology.”

In a separate exchange, the former adviser argued that Democrat tactics used against Trump, including criminal charges, are unraveling. He said the case against the former President in Florida is collapsing and noted “delays” in New York and Washington. Stone described these as a blow to Democrats who want trials completed before the election so they can attribute Biden’s victory to Trump’s convictions.

Undercover reporter Ally Sammarco asked the former adviser to clarify how Republicans will stop Democrats from “stealing” the election. He replied that GOP activists have the home phone numbers of lawyers and judges, whom they can quickly contact and persuade to step in. “We made no preparations last time, none,” he added.

Mr. Stone furthermore stated that rioting on Capitol Hill “may not be necessary” and that the Trump team is ready to file lawsuits challenging the result if Biden wins.

It is not the first time Stone has been caught on tape, and in 2022, he came under FBI investigation after he suggested that a number of high-profile Democrats should be assassinated. “Either Swalwell or Nadler has to die before the election,” he declared. Mr. Stone denied making the remarks and blamed artificial intelligence (AI) manipulation.

Rep. Eric Swalwell told reporters that such rhetoric is typical of the Trump inner circle, who speak and act like “gangsters.” Swalwell said law enforcement agencies and his fellow Democrats must take the behavior of Trump Republicans seriously.
