Over the weekend, former President Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Las Vegas, which was just another stop on the presumptive Republican nominee’s trail to election day. It seems the event faced technical difficulties as Trump exclaimed to the crowd that he couldn’t read his teleprompter, seemingly making the former President very unhappy. The Las Vegas rally was Trump’s second campaign appearance after being found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business documents in late May. His first campaign rally back was held in Arizona this past Thursday.

During his Las Vegas rally, Trump spoke to many supporters who awaited the former President in scorching heat. At one point, the rally’s communications department seemed to suffer technical difficulties, as Trump stated that he could not read the teleprompters in front of him. The former President lashed out at the teleprompter’s operators in front of his supportive crowd, stating to the crowd that the teleprompters had not been working from the start of the event.

A frustrated Trump then went on to state that he pays’ large sums of money for teleprompter operators at each of his events and that at least 20 percent of the time the teleprompters do not work. Trump went on to explain the tech issues that were happening in front of him, stating that the words on the screen were illegible and that it was all a mess. Trump repeated his frustrations multiple times, before threatening to not pay the operators because Trump was unsatisfied with the job they had done.

Trump then recounted an encounter between him and an operator right then and there verbatim. The operator had approached Trump on stage asking him if the teleprompters were working, which Trump repeated for the crowd to hear, “Not even a little bit”. Trump then claimed that if he did not pay the company, the media would spin a story with a bad narrative.
